Digestive Health in Rochester, NY
Digestive symptoms can interrupt meals, sleep, work, and time with family. Understanding the pattern of your symptoms is an important first step toward appropriate care.
We review your history, medications, eating patterns, and previous evaluations. Your physician considers possible causes, explains useful testing, and discusses treatment or referral when needed.
Our concierge primary care model offers continuity for adults in the Rochester area. We aim for practical symptom management and clear next steps, without promising a universal gut-reset protocol.

A practical approach to digestive concerns
Reflux & upper digestive symptoms
Discuss heartburn, nausea, or persistent discomfort. We review medication use and habits, evaluate symptoms, and decide whether further investigation is needed.
Bloating & bowel changes
Review constipation, diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and changes in bowel patterns. Evaluation is tailored to your symptoms and any warning signs.
Nutrition & symptom patterns
Explore how food, routines, and other factors relate to symptoms. Dietary changes are individualized and should support adequate nutrition rather than unnecessary restriction.
Testing & specialist coordination
Tests are selected for a clinical reason. We coordinate gastroenterology assessment, endoscopy, or other evaluation when appropriate.
What to expect from your visit
Bring your questions, medication list, and relevant records. Your physician reviews your history, symptoms, previous treatment, and the concerns that affect your everyday life.
We discuss whether testing will help, explain treatment options and referrals, and agree on realistic next steps. Follow-up reviews your response and any new concerns. Recommendations are individualized rather than a fixed package of tests or treatments.
This is digestive care within primary care, not a gastroenterology clinic. Persistent or concerning symptoms may need specialist assessment.
Digestive Health questions & membership
Do I need microbiome mapping or a food sensitivity panel?
Not routinely. Your physician recommends tests when they can answer a useful clinical question. Commercial panels are not a substitute for a medical assessment or established diagnostic testing.
Can you help with IBS symptoms?
We can assess symptoms and discuss management within primary care scope. Similar symptoms can have different causes, so testing or gastroenterology referral may be needed before or alongside treatment.
Should I start a restrictive diet?
Discuss changes with your clinician first. Unnecessary restriction can make nutrition more difficult, and some tests are affected by dietary changes. Your plan should reflect your symptoms and health needs.
When should I seek urgent help?
Severe or worsening abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, fainting, or severe dehydration need urgent medical assessment. Call 911 for a medical emergency. Report persistent symptoms, blood in stool, difficulty swallowing, or unexplained weight loss promptly.
What is included, and how does insurance work?
Review your current membership agreement for included visits, access arrangements, and exclusions. Our practice does not bill insurance for membership-covered primary care. Tests, imaging, medications, and specialist services may have separate charges; coverage depends on your insurer and outside providers. Membership is not health insurance.
Support beyond one appointment
Your care can connect with lifestyle medicine, chronic disease management, and preventative care.
Our membership-based practice supports an ongoing physician relationship. Appointment availability, communication arrangements, and included services follow the current membership agreement. Discuss these details during your free meet and greet.
